My SENSEO® Milk Frother does not froth well

Published on 2021-07-04

It can happen that the frothing quality of your SENSEO® Milk Frother is less than expected. Note that the milk frother will always leave some milk behind after frothing. Try to use these possible causes and solutions if this is not the issue.

Check to see if the metal whisk is attached to the spindle. It is not possible to create milk foam without the metal whisk.

Instructions to attach the metal whisk

Always fill the milk jug above the minimum indicator to ensure great milk foam. The minimum indicator is located on the inside of the jug.

Disassemble and clean all parts of regularly to ensure great milk foam. Pay special attention to the metal whisk while cleaning:

  1. Disassemble the metal whisk, spindle, and lid from each other
  2. Rinse the milk jug under the tap with hot water
  3. Rinse the metal whisk, spindle, and lid under the tap with hot water, or clean all parts using the dishwasher
  4. Wipe the base with a damp cloth if needed

Clean senseo milk frother

If the milk does not froth as you would like, try a different type or brand of milk. We advise you to use semi-skimmed cow’s milk at refrigerator temperature for the best frothing result.

The power button flashes to indicate that the SENSEO® Milk Frother needs to cool down first before you can use it again. Make sure to let it cool down for a few minutes. Tip: You can rinse the inside of the milk jug with cold water to let it cool down faster.

If none of these steps solved the issue or if the power button does not stop flashing, please contact us for further assistance.
